jantar (Rajasthani stick zither)
~ Instruments à cordes
Description
Stick zither from Rajasthan. It is made of wood with at least two large gourd resonators, the strings rest on very high frets.
Not to be confused with the 13th century tritantri-vina which evolved into the bin via a five-string stick-zither also known as "jantar".
